My professional career began in 1992 at the number one ranked dental school in the nation: The University of Texas Health and Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. In 1997 I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery and quickly returned to Austin where Dr. Meek and I, a friend and dental school colleague, began 38th Street Dental.
I am a member of the Capital Area Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association, regularly attending continuing education courses to allow for the best patient care possible.
I really love all aspects of dentistry. It does not matter whether I’m curing a toothache to allow a patient to finally enjoy a good night’s rest or transforming a patient’s smile to enhance their appearance and self-confidence, I feel very fortunate that I have been blessed with these skills. Practicing dentistry continues to be a tremendously rewarding profession.
My passion for helping people achieve beautiful smiles is only surpassed by my love of spending time with my wife, Sara, and two children, Carsten and Kelsey. To this day I still enjoy family picnics at Zilker Park and swimming laps in Barton Springs. I am also an active member of the Austin Astronomy Society and on clear, moonless nights I can usually be found peering through a telescope contemplating the beauty and mystery of the vast universe.
