I moved to Austin in my early 20's and continued my dental career path in both the business office and clinical areas. Because I am a people person and I like to talk, a lot, the business office made perfect sense!!
I live in Round Rock with my three boys, Corey 3, Jeremy 6, and Wesley 16 and our sweet
little Shitzu, Scooter. Having 3 boys means I am always moving when I am
not at the office. We fill our days with swimming, soccer and just playing. I have been with Dr. Meek and Dr. Tasch now for over 6 years and I consider this office my second home. I hope I can help you when you come in and please make sure to let me know if there is any way I can make your visit better.

Dentistry just works for me, and I have worked in the dental field for over 10 years. At the beginning of 2006, I moved to Austin with my husband and shortly thereafter began working with Dr. Meek and Dr. Tasch. When I'm not at the office, I love spending time with my husband, Adam, and my 4 year old daughter, Maya.
Candice

Candice has worked in the dental field for over 8 years and started at 38th Street Dental in 2004 . She grew up mostly in sunny south Florida but knows there's no place like Texas to call home. Outside of the office, she enjoys learning about history and science, music, movies and spending time with her husband Keith and their 3 year old son, Cameron.

Dentistry…who would have known that I would become such an enthusiast. I started in dentistry 1996 as a path to a possible career. Assisting a dentist in South Austin, I realized that there was something very unique about helping people regain their oral health.
My first position with Dr. Meek began in 2002 when 38th Street was still a sleepy, small practice. Working there until 2008, my interest in restorative dentistry grew. Life led me away from 38th Street until the spring of 2012 when an opportunity to return to work with Dr. Meek presented itself and I was back chair side working with dental implants and advanced restorative cases.
In addition to working weekdays with Dr. Meek, I also teach an assisting course through Austin Community College while taking courses to pave the way to entering dental school in the intermediate future. Needless to say, I share Dr. Meek's passion for the challenge of advanced restorative care!

Rachel

Rachel, an Austin native, discovered her love for dental hygiene while in school at Austin Community College, where she graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She jokes that being the recipient of the Golden Scaler Award is testimony that she is a natural born hygienist. When she is not sharpening her skills at work she delights in her role as a mother of two. As often as she can steal a few moments away, she enjoys most outdoor activities including running, stand up paddle boarding, and CrossFit. Rachel is proud to be the newest addition to our 38th Street Dental team and eager to educate, encourage, and promote good oral health one patient at a time.
